Despite finishing three years ago, the best TV show ever made is still making the news. Baltimore Police Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld III (seriously) made a public statement last week criticising the show.

Show creator (and former Baltimore Sun crime reporter) David Simon was quick to respond.

Is this a mark of how good the show was, or a sign that the real-life situation remains completely fucked, in no small part due to people in authority being more concerned with perception than reality? Ach, probably both.
